WHO's Response
The World Health Organization (WHO) works on the frontlines of the world’s most severe health emergencies. Across conflict-affected regions, WHO:
Delivers lifesaving medical supplies from it's Dubai hub withing 12-24 hours of crisis
Provides medical evacuations in Gaza when local health systems collapse
Supports stabilization centers in Sudan so displaced communities with severe malnutrition can recover
Delivers life saving vaccination campaigns in Yemen, Gaza and Sudan for polio and cholera
Giving to WHO's emegency response ensures that your Sadaqah gets to those who need it most
When a health emergency strikes, the biggest challenge is time.
WHO’s Dubai Hub is one of the world’s largest humanitarian logistics centers, allowing life-saving health supplies to be pre-positioned, packed, and dispatched within hours — not weeks. From this hub, medicines, vaccines, emergency kits, and protective equipment are sent to crisis zones before hospitals are overwhelmed and outbreaks spread.
Your Sadaqah helps ensure that when emergencies happen, health supplies are already ready to move — reaching frontline health workers without delay.
In many emergencies, hospitals are damaged, overwhelmed, or unable to provide specialized treatment.
In these situations, WHO supports medical evacuations and emergency referrals so critically ill and injured patients can access care that is no longer available locally. This includes trauma care, surgical referrals, and intensive treatment for patients who cannot wait.
Medical evacuations require coordination, medical teams, transport, and constant readiness. Your Sadaqah helps sustain this complex system so patients are not left without options when health systems are under extreme pressure.
For children suffering from severe acute malnutrition, access to urgent medical care is essential.
WHO supports stabilization centers that provide inpatient treatment for the most severe cases, combining medical care, therapeutic nutrition, and close monitoring. In 2025 alone, more than 112,400 severely malnourished children received treatment through WHO-supported stabilization centers.
Your Sadaqah helps ensure these centers remain operational, equipped, and staffed — so children can receive the care they urgently need during emergencies.
Disease outbreaks often follow conflict, displacement, and the collapse of basic services.
WHO plays a central role in emergency vaccination campaigns to prevent the spread of deadly diseases. In 2025, WHO helped vaccinate:
- 24 million people against cholera
- Over 5.5 million children against polio
- More than 6.7 million children against measles and rubella
Your Sadaqah supports vaccination efforts that help contain outbreaks, protect communities, and reduce the strain on already fragile health systems.
