Your donation can help reach millions of children
Every child deserves the chance to grow up safe from preventable diseases. But in too many places, measles and rubella still claim young lives—and cause lifelong disabilities—because testing comes too late. This is how labs can save lives. They track outbreaks, test samples and give the world an early warning when deadly diseases spread. But right now, the global measles and rubella lab network (GRMLN) is at risk of weakening.
Your donation can help:
- $500 supplies one regional clinic with testing kits to protect hundreds of children from an outbreak
- $5,000 trains local lab teams to detect cases within hours, not days.
- $50,000 equips a national lab with PCR technology for rapid detection and response
Give now and your impact is instantly doubled! Every dollar you give is matched 1:1 by The ELMA Vaccines & Immunization Foundation.
That means:
- Twice the testing for measles and rubella
- Twice the training for frontline lab workers
- Twice the speed in stopping outbreaks
- Together, we can strengthen 50 laboratories, stop outbreaks before they spread, and protect millions of children’s future.

WHO's Response
Since 2000, GMRLN has supported both routine surveillance and outbreak response by testing more than 900,000 specimens, which include not only measles and rubella, but also suspected cases of COVID-19 (SARS-CoV-2), mpox, yellow fever, rotavirus, and the ebola, lassa and dengue viruses.
Today, over 100 countries in the network can perform genotyping to track how viruses spread and evolve.
